What is Delta 8 THC?

Delta 8 THC is one of the hottest new cannabinoids emerging in the industry. There are more than 100 cannabinoids present in the cannabis plant. While we have some foundational knowledge about primary cannabinoids like delta-9-THC and CBD, we know less about the secondary, or minor, cannabinoids like delta-8-THC. Delta-8-THC is a bit different than Delta 9 THC, the most well known and abundant cannabinoid found in cannabis. Delta 8 THC is an analog of THC and has a similar molecular structure with a handful of notable differences. While both share many similar properties such as reportedly stimulating appetite, reducing nausea, and releveling pain, delta 8 THC tends to show a lower psychotropic potency than THC when inhaled. However, when ingested delta-8-THC can deliver the identical effects.

Key Differences Between Delta 8 THC and Delta 9 THC

One of the main differences between Delta 8 THC and Delta 9 THC is the effects. Delta 9 THC is considerably more potent than Delta 8 THC , however it should reported some users report quite similar effects regarding potency to Delta 9 THC so its important to start with a lower dose and adjust accordingly. Users report a much "easier" experience with Delta 8 THC, such as little to no paranoia that many experience with Delta 9 THC as well as a great sense of calm and clarity. Its important to know that each user may have a different experience with our products or any Delta 8 products.

Several users report Delta 8 produces a more mild and clear headed psycho active effects (high) than delta 9 thc. On a molecular level, however, delta 8 edibles function in a very similar manner as delta 9 thc edibles, with both molecules converting into 11-hydroxy-THC in the liver.
